| (...) Koilon Duo is not a duo, but a trio: S. Sciarratta on "contrabbasso, looper, elettronica, concrete sounds', F. Branciamore on drum set and M. Carlentini on 'basi elettroniche'. Their release 'Elementare' has one track, recorded live. It's a work of improvisation, based around a set of loose end sounds that flow freely around. In the end it doesn't give the piece much structure, but rather a random set of sound segments that go into each other. It's o.k. I guess, but not really great. Frans de Waard, Vital Weekly. |
